A short walk away from the Freedom Square and the Courtyard Marriot Hotel, you will come upon one of Tbilisi’s most delicious restaurant. Azerphesha, famous for its cozy interior and modern take on Georgian cuisine belongs to John Wurdeman, the owner of the Pheasant Tear’s winery. Restaurant showcases a collection of old wine vessels and ancient cups, which is worth taking a look at while you are waiting for the food. A charismatic and knowledgeable host Luarsab Togonidze is always welcoming if present at the restaurant and sometimes you can experience his performance of the Georgian traditional polyphonic singing. Mouthwatering dishes are baked in clay pots and great selection of Georgian wines is on the menu.

Must Have: Eggplant with Tahini sauce, Roasted Chicken in wine sauce, mushrooms with cheese, and the notorious Jakeli Wine.
