In every major city in Eastern Europe, you will find at least one Georgian restaurant where locals and foreigners gather to taste the flavorful dishes. Shoti, named after the traditional Georgian bread baked in the clay oven, is a great place to discover this unique cuisine. Restaurateur Sergey Gusovskiy traveled to Georgia for inspiration and presents beautiful Georgian dishes in the unexpectedly minimalistic setting. Try to book a table on the terrace if you come to Kiev when the weather is warm. Closed on Mondays.
Must Eat: Phkali – traditional appetizers made of chopped vegetables and walnut paste, toasts of shoti bread with chicken liver pate and goat cheese, vegetable salad Georgian style, Khachapuri Imeretian style, lobio- baked red beans with spices, mchadi- Georgian corn bread, fried suluguni with adzhika sauce. And yes, we are a bit biased, we want to order little bit of everything from the menu.
